Grand Canyon Hike - This has got to be the best hike we've ever been on! For four days, we hiked down the Bright Angel trail to Phantom Ranch then back up again. Some people will make this hike in two days but we like to stop and explore along the way. After two days of eating freeze dried meals on the trail, the beef stew dinner at Phantom Ranch kitchen tasted like mana from heaven. Because we did this hike in the summer, we had to hit the trail each morning at 4 AM and be to our next camp site by 10 AM else the heat was so intense, you would risk death by dehydration.
